New Details Emerge About How The Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Was Leaked
November 17, 2015 (21:15) [ Indexed from Wrestling-Edge
New details have emerged about how the Hulk Hogan sex tape was leaked. Fox 13 in Tampa, FL is reporting that Matt "Spiceboy" Loyd, who is a former employee of radio star Bubba 'the Love Sponge, stole several sex tape DVD's from Bubba's office" and then shopped clips of the sex tape and sold it to TMZ to "build interest.
Local police say that Spiceboy contacted a well-known sex tape broker named Keith Davidson from California to "engage in the extortion of Terry Bollea, who is better known as Hulk Hogan.
This led to Lloyd trying to cover his tracks by hiring a middleman. Lloyd recruited his wifes best friend from high school, Lori Burbridge, to be that person. They gave her $10,000 for her involvement.
Burbridge told detectives she was "instructed" to meet with the sex tape broker in order to "complete negotiations with Terry Bollea and his attorney."
This is where Lloyd came up with the story that he bought the tape through a garage sale. Burbridge said Spiceboy also leaked pictures of the sex tape to TheDirty.com and TMZ and was paid $8,500.
Documents show she then handed Spiceboy a cashier's check for $8,000 after she signed tax forums.

Greg Gagne Talks About Eric Bischoff Getting Power In WCW And Bringing In Hulk Hogan
November 08, 2015 (17:45) [ Indexed from Wrestling-Edge
AWA superstar and former tag team champion Greg Gagne recently appeared on the Pancakes and Powerslams show(courtesy of Pro Wrestling.net for the transcript). Here are the highlights.
How Eric Bischoff became in charge of WCW:
"We came back that Monday morning, we get there and all of a sudden Bill Watts shows up at the matches and said, 'In the meantime, an Executive Producer job came up with the WCW. Tony Schiavone, David Crockett, Joe Pedicino, and Eric Bischoff are the four guys applying for it.' And I said to Bill, 'Maybe I should go down and apply for that!' [Watts says], 'Ah no, it's not a big deal. It's nothing.' So now about a week later, we're in South Carolina, Bill comes walking in and says, 'Hey, guys, I'm all done, Eric Bischoff is the Executive Producer and he's in charge.'"
On how he was snubbed by Eric Bischoff after bringing Hulk Hogan into the promotion in 1994:
"[We're in the car riding to Atlanta], and Bischoff says, 'How do we turn this thing around?' I said, 'First of all, you guys are trying to do the same thing that McMahon is doing. You have to have a different approach to it. And the only way, if you want impact, is we gotta get Hogan in here.' [Bischoff says], 'Well, I don't know Hogan.' I said, 'Well I'll make the call and see if he is interested.' So I made the call, Hulk was interested and he said, give me a couple of weeks and give me a call back... [Bischoff] said, 'What about Hogan?' I said, 'Here's the deal. Hogan will come in for a meeting, and we could probably get a deal done with him. But, to do this, here's what I want. I want a piece of the merchandise he does and a piece of the pay per views he's done because I didn't get what I had coming in the other deal.' [Bischoff says], 'No problem.' So the next the day he calls me and says 'I talked to Bill Shaw and everything's set.' I told him to get me in writing what he was going to do for me. 'Well, Bill's going out of town.' I said, 'Well just get it in writing!' So the week went by, nothing came, and the following Monday I walk in the office and there's a big sign that says Welcome Home. They flew down to Florida and met Hulk down there and signed him."

Bob Backlund Says Hulk Hogan Should Have Been Fired Fired 30 Years Ago
November 06, 2015 (02:30) [ Indexed from Wrestling-Edge
Former WWE world champion and Hall of Famer Bob Backlund recently joined the Camel Clutch Blog and Pro Wrestling Radio to discuss his new book, the WWE Network not featuring his WWF title matches, and why he thinks Hulk Hogan should have been fired 30 years ago. Here are the highlights.
On why he thinks Hulk Hogan should have been fired 30 years ago:
When youre champion and youre telling kids not to do this and not to take this drug and not to take that drug and I dont hate him, I dont dislike him, I respect what he did in the ring but I dont respect that he was telling kids not to do those things and he would go and do them himself. You have to stand up and you have to walk to walk or youre not the man. You dont walk the walk, thats the most important thing about being WWF champion or any champion at all. You cant be lying to kids and expecting them not to do it and youre going out and doing the same things youre asking them not to do. Thats the reason. I like all of the wrestlers, I dont like the things some of them do.
On the WWE Network not featuring his WWF title matches, only putting a handful on the network:
They might get over. They were good matches, they were solid matches, and people could get into this. It might catch on. They might be worried about that. I dont know, again I was the guy who said no so that may be the reason too.

Bob Backlund Says Hulk Hogan Didnt Meet The Standards To Be WWE Champion
November 01, 2015 (00:45) [ Indexed from Wrestling-Edge
WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund recently appeared on the Two Man Power Trip podcast to discuss various topics. Here are the highlights.
Thoughts on Hulk Hogan:
I thought that he didn't meet the standards and I know Bruno would have thought if I had been doing all that goofy stuff he was doing he wouldn't have liked me being champion and I'm sure that Bruno feels the same way. He (Hulk) didn't meet the standards outside the ring to be able to represent the WWF. Did the WWE fire him recently? Because, I would have fired him thirty years ago. He was saying one thing and doing another.
Being asked to turn heel by Vince McMahon Jr. in 1984:
I said no. I said no because I had a daughter that was six years old at the time and I didn't want to have her have problems in school. I've heard a lot from the Savoldi's. Mario Savoldi said that they had a lot of problems when his Dad was a bad guy and I didn't want to do the same thing to our daughter and also I sponsored Bob Backlund's kids tournaments and I made a lot of promises to kids that I wasn't going to be doing this and that and would be doing good things they could be proud of and I didn't want to let them down either.
The 1992 return and the plans to finally turn heel:
I went in there to do the "All American Boy" again. But it was also the time that I said I wanted to be bad now. I wanted to be bad because the good guys were lying, cheating and swearing. Let me be bad by being good and I became a bad guy by being a good person.
